This is a picture of my oldest son!  He is 16 and is getting more grown every day…sigh!  I am very, very proud of him!   He will be making a trip to Alaska soon to go spend two weeks with my mom and step father.  I am very excited for him, but it makes me sad to know he is growing up so fast!  Ain’t he handsome!?!

…So this morning my 7 year old was looking through and constructing her Valentine’s to be handed out on the big day!  She was quiet for a long time and I could tell she was deep in thought about something!  Then she says to me, “Mom, don’t you think it would be a good idea if they made a few that said ‘I don’t really like you, but my mom made me give one to you, so here…’ !!”  I laughed out loud!  : )  Ah, out of the mouths of babes!

   I can remember very vividly the day this fine young man made his entrance into the world. My life changed forever.  My heart grew into twice it’s size and swelled with emotion for this little guy.  He started out as the sweetest, most easy going kid ever and hasn’t changed too awful much!  He is a wonderful person with a kind spirit and a very tender heart.  I see so much of myself in him.  Some days that couldn’t please me more and some days I hope that he will manage to overcome my short comings!  He has a big heart and a gentle hand.  He is smart and funny and handsome.  He is good to his family and loves his mom!  I couldn’t be more proud of him.   Happy birthday son…I love you!
