You scored as Faerie. Faerie: Aren’t you a cute little flying person? Faeries are earth spirits. They live among each element completely hidden. They have cousins called Pixies. Pixies however, are very mischevious. They enjoy tormenting other creatures for fun. Little pranksters.. I hope you never meet one. Pixies have a bad reputation for finding a creature and clinging to them until death. Faeries can be somewhat close to a Pixie, but mostly they are loving, playful, and carry with them a child-like enthusiasm for life. Hide among the pedals of a Daisy, you are a Faerie.

Bubbles…

There is just something so magical to me about hearing my kids laugh.  Not one of those slightly amused kind of laughs, but an honest to goodness, straight from the heart, starts in the toes kind of laugh!   My youngest warms my heart with those often.  We spent some quality time together last night blowing bubbles and laughing at silly jokes.  She is seven and still testing the water with her sense of humor, but her effort alone makes me tickled!  Her eyes light up and her whole face glows with happy!  She thinks a ‘double bubble’ is cause for a party and shares the excitement with me just by laughing!  I loved our bubble blowing party and look forward to many more!  Time is so precious and I hope that I always remember to make the time for the really important things.  Last night there was nothing more imortant to me than that hour long bubble blowing party.  I am lucky to have such amazing kids!  I love them more than I could ever begin to express.

It has been waaaay too long since I have made a blog entry!  Things have been kinda crazy around here (not a very good excuse, but the only one I have!).   Summer has about come and gone and there have been a lot of changes in my life!  My mom came for a month long visit from Alaska!  That was really nice!  We enjoyed having her very much.  While she was here I took her to Nashville, TN to the country music Fanfare festival!  We had a great time!!  : )  I really didn’t expect to enjoy it much because I am not a huge country music fan, but turns out I had a blast!  The sights, the sounds, the excitement of the crowds!  It was awesome!  I got to meet Charlie Daniels!!  Also, John Corbett and my new favorite country music singer…Eric Church!  It was really nice having that time alone with my mom too!  We also took her to Connecticut for a visit with my Grandma!  We all loved that!  My tiny, little Grandma is the greatest!!  : )

All four of my kids got to attend a summer camp of some sort this summer!  Hannah went to gymnastics camp for a week (wasn’t a sleep over camp!).  She loved it and can do a one handed cart wheel now!  Daniel attended a soccer camp at VA Tech college and although it was a sleepover camp, he wound up coming home at night and going back in the mornings!  (lots of driving for mom and dad!)  Tyler went to 4H camp and made it through three days before she got homesick and wanted to come home!  David went to the ultimate summer camp and went back to Alaska with my mom for almost three weeks!  He had a wonderful time!  He left a kid and came back a  man…makes me a little sad.  He is talking about wanting to go back up after he graduates high school to work on the pipeline.  Topic for a whole other post on it’s own!

I also took a trip to VA Beach a couple of weekends ago to attempt to get certified to teach an aerobics class called Turbo Kick!  I had such a great time!  It was an incredibly demanding physical day, but I loved the energy of it all!  There were 26 other people certifying!  The music was awesome, the energy was off the hook and I met several really nice people!  The instructor came out from Winchester and was super!  I am waiting now to hear if I passed or not!  Waiting, waiting, waiting…!  Fingers crossed!!  More to follow later on this subject!!

Now I am in the process of gearing up for another school year!  Trying to get curriculum and lesson plans all worked out!  My home school group (I am coordinator!) has 15 new families and tons of plans have to be made there as well.  Also, soccer season is getting ready to begin which means (between coaching and being on the board/organizing) no free time at all for the next three months!  Time to haul out the crock pot!  The end of summer always brings bittersweet emotions for just that reason!

This post feels very full and not very detailed!  I will attempt to be more faithful in the future and try to elaborate more  on some of this!  : )

   More later…! : )

 am : )
