Today is day 12 of my fitness journey! (Sounds so exciting that way!) LOL I made it through the 10 day kick start deal-y-o! It was easier than I thought it would be! I was very faithful to the food and the water and did doubles 8 of the 10 days. I worked out (with walking) 27 times in a 10 day period! LOL It was fun though! I lost 3 pounds and 5 inches! Not too bad for 10 days, I thought. I am a really slooooooooooooow loser so to see three pounds gone in a week and a half made me happy! : ) I was more excited about the inches though! I think this work out is a blast which makes it so easy! I do not dread exercising…I actually look forward to it now!
I think I have worked out a schedule for the time being! I will be doing cardio 6 days a week, sculpting three days a week and abs two days a week. I will also try to walk some every day! More for my sanity (my only real quiet time!) than my physicue though! I am feeling very positive about this and think that if I can maintain my momentum, that I will start to see results. : ) I have decided that once I lose 10 pounds, as a reward I will buy the second set of workout DVDs to offer more variety to my schedule. (I am very excited about those and hope that I can hold out til the 10 pounds are gone!) Giggles!
I will check in soonest! : )
am
I haven’t posted much about this because I wanted to get in the groove of making it happen first! I am in the groove now (
!!) so I thought I would put something in print! I am on day 8 of a 10 day fitness kick start!! It is an exercise program that is intended to go long term, but the 10 day deal gets you thinking about the right foods and getting back on the exercise train! I absolutely LOVE the workouts! They are a combination of kick boxing, matial arts and dance! They offer aerobic and strength training! They are a blast! I have stuck to the food plan portion to a tee and have done very well with drinking more water! I am doing double work outs plus walking between 2-4 miles a day. I haven’t decided yet how my workout schedule will go after the 10 days, but am thinking it will look much the same with an extra rest day. I plan to alternate abs with strength training and do cardio 5-6 days a week. I am already starting to feel better and regain some of my lost energy. I have decided that although I feel guilty for taking time away from my kids to do this, that it is really important and I need this me time! They have all been very good about it and even work out with me some times! : ) I am hoping to set an example for them as well!
My goal is to lose 20 pounds and tone everythng up. I have gone this route before and always struggle with making time to work out or with the food. I am on a mission now to find a happy compromise with the food though. I do NOT always want to be on my food guard, but know that this will take serious commitment. I am going to experiment with the 90/10 rule. Pay close attention to what I eat most of the time with the occasional indulgence. I will just have to be certain that the indulgence is truly sinful! : )
I want to establish new habits and make this the way I do things instead of feeling like I am on a ‘program’. I want to teach my kids to be fit and healthy by choice so they do not have to struggle with this later. They already eat really well. I guess I am lucky there! I just want them to always feel good and be healthy.
I will check in here often! : ) I will be weighing and measuring on Thursday morning and will make note of any changes!
