I just have to ask…is it a pre-requisite that you be an absolute ogre to get a job at the DMV?!  I mean is there a slot on the job application that says : Please list any prior experience that you have being mean and nasty…?!  I had to make a trip there today : (.  It was most unpleasant!  I am a firm believer of the pay it forward theory!  This is that  you take a simple minute to smile at your cashier, or hold the door for someone, or  ask how someone is and actually listen to the answer!  It only takes a minute to be nice and maybe it will brighten someone’s day and maybe it won’t, but what do you have to lose?!  Your job sucks…you hate your life…I am sorry! It is NOT my fault you work at the DMV…if you are that unhappy… go get another job!  Do NOT inflict your nastiness and disatisfied frowny face on my day though! But guess what…even after waiting in your long lines (three times!), filling out all your paper work and dealing with three separate grouchy employees (non of which made any effort to crack the slightest smile) you still didn’t manage to ruin MY day! So ha!  Big grin!  : )

I do believe it is actually a requirement, yes. I have never, in all my years of driving, met a pleasant DMV employee. I actually believe the have a secret breeding program where they grow DMV workers and toll booth workers like pod people.

I think this is the case with *MANY* government employee’s … these are just the ones we come into contact with most often. These nasty little officious bureacrats find themselves in a position of ‘power’ over their fellow men … they know it, and they like it. We *hates* them, precious!
